Welcome to the University of York Erasmus Society!
Studying abroad can be one of the most exciting and interesting
experience that a student can live through: discovering a new
country with its culture, its language and its people… so many new
things to get use to!
That's what the Erasmus Scheme is all about,
giving the European Union students the opportunity
to leave their home university, from a term to a
year, with administrative support and financial help.
Our society is basically meant to help
Erasmus students to get involved in the University life
and to create a network of friends and support around them. It is
also a good way to keep on practising foreign languages and share
features of each other's culture in a friendly and relaxed way.

We thus try to gather European students through
socials, activities, trips and tandems to give them the opportunity
to meet people and to share their experience with others.
Whether you enjoy touristy things, exploring the local area,
pubbing, clubbing, chatting ... the Erasmus society has something
for everyone. It's run by students for students and
everyone is welcome. The main thing our society is
looking for, is for you to enjoy your year in York and to have
quality times there!
For more information feel free to contact us …or come along to
one of our socials!
